Shoreline Structures

 

At the May 11, 2011 meeting of the Planning and Development Committee the Motion was approved:

 

1.         That staff be directed to prepare a report for the review and consideration of the Planning and Development Committee respecting the issue of zoning regulations for private docks in the Town of Midland. 

 

Staff have completed a Shoreline Structures Study which was presented to the Planning and Development Committee on October 5, 2011. The Committee supported the Draft Study and directed staff to finalize the document, schedule a statutory public meeting under the Planning Act to consider the recommendations in the report, prepare a Draft Zoning By-law Amendment, and provide Notice of the Public Meeting under the Planning Act.

 

A Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office at 575 Dominion Avenue to hear input from the community.  Please click see the Notice of Public Meeting and information on how to become involved.
