Midland Heritage
About the Midland Heritage Committee
The Midland Heritage Committee was established by Council in 1989 to promote the Municipality's mandate of heritage preservation, under authority of the Ontario Heritage Act. The Committee focuses on the identification and preservation of heritage resources, including historical and architectural buildings, and cultural and natural features within our Municipality. The Committee promotes public awareness of heritage resources through participation in local heritage events, publications of books and brochures and annual award presentations of Midland Heritage Plaques on buildings having architectural and/or historical significance.
